Some of My Favorite Music for Babies and New Parents
| Good Morning My Love | Hidden In My Heart Vol. II | Spicy Kid |
| by Vered | Various Artists | by Lunch Money |
| from Scripture Lullabies |
Simply put here’s why I choose these 3 albums:
Good Morning My Love — is a delightful collection of songs you can sing to and with your baby – perfect for new parents who want to add some musical conversation to their day. Read the review here.
Hidden In My Heart Vol. II — We purchased the first volume of Hidden in My Heart as an alternative lullaby CD for our boys a couple of years ago and it has been a hit. The songs are beautifully sung and well produced, and the well chosen verses of scripture have been a nice way for our family to wind down at the end of the day. We never mind having these on when traveling late at night in the car or stuck together in one hotel room. Read the review here.
Spicy Kid — is a great introduction to kid’s music parents will enjoy too. This album has several beautifully written tracks that will speak directly to parents while kids will enjoy them too. Read the review here.
Scripture Lullabies is offering a 15% discount to Swing Whistle Zing readers, just use the code VALENTINE13 upon check out (valid through March 15). To preview the music or purchase Hidden In My Heart Vol. I or II visit Scripture Lullabies.
All three of them make great baby shower gift choices, so tuck them away on your gift ideas list—I know they’re on mine!
Congratulations to the Okee Dokee Brothers’ Grammy win for Best Children’s Album
Last Friday, I did a round up of the Grammy nominees for Best Children’s Album & told you about my plans for the big night.
Did you watch? I followed through on my promise, invited a couple of girlfriends over, ate ice cream and chatted about the performances, winners (and those who didn’t win) and our favorites for the year. We all thought the show was worth staying up for! It was definitely an entertaining night!
Since none of us were able to see the Best Children’s Album presentation on CBS, here’s a photo of the winners with their Grammy:
